Puppy

Puppies love to learn and this class encourages that important stage of socialisation and teaches you the basics of general obedience. We also discuss house training, safety and any dog related problems.

Basic

This class is designed for dogs, six months of age or older, with an emphasis on the control of your dog. The course will teach you how to teach your dog to walk on a lead, sit, stand, stay, lie down on command and also to come back to you when called. Your dog will also allow other people to approach and touch it.

Rally-O

Rally-O is a shortened word for Rally-Obedience. The class involes completing a course where the varied instructions are set out on a sign at each station. The class invoves lots of exotic moves that are not covered in an obedience class.

Intermediate

The class develops the skills covered in Basic refining your knowledge of lead control. By the end of this class your dog should be well on the way to being a reliable pet under your control both in and out of the home.

Community Companion Dog

This class prepares dog and handler for their first title in obedience trials. The class gives you the control and polish you would expect of a dog owner who has a well trained pet dog. Among the aims of this class are developing the skills in the owner to work towards off lead work and greater control of the dog. At the conclusion you can gain a certificate with the club, an endorsement of your dog's achievements.

See pages 17-20 of the Rules for the Conduct of Obedience Trials for a specification of the learning outcomes that you will be assessed on.

Novice Class

This class prepares dog and handler for their second title in obedience trials, but if you do not wish to trial, this class is still for you and by the end of this course you will have a sound and reliable dog. Successful completion earns tangible evidence of your success, open to all dogs regardless of pedigree.

See pages 21-25 of the Rules for the Conduct of Obedience Trials for a specification of the learning outcomes that you will be assessed on.
