About Us

The club was formed in May 1979 and is a non-profit group.  All instructors and committee serve the club on a voluntary basis. The club conducts state Obedience Trials at the end of the year and gives the opportunity for dogs and their handlers to be evaluated by judges.

Some dog owners never think of taking their dog to an obedience class, perhaps believing that their dog will lose something of its individuality. A strange notion in view of the observation that we have all attended school and still remain individuals. And just think of what such owners are missing! A well-trained dog is a companion, who copes better with visits to the Vet, comes back when called at a dog exercise area at the beach and is a pleasure to take for a walk to the local shop. Let us teach you how to teach your dog to be such a companion.
